Juneau Police Department detectives are asking the public for help in their investigation of a 2015 double murder.
On Nov. 15 around 12:30 p.m., police were notified that Juneau residents Elizabeth K. Tonsmeiere, 34, and Robert H. Meireis, 36, both of Juneau, were shot to death inside a Douglas Island condominium at 2750 Roger Street in Douglas.
Police said they have since received multiple tips about the murders and are actively following leads, but for those with information who have not come forward yet with information, police are reminding the public that their help could be rewarded.
Anyone with information is encouraged to log on to the Juneau Crime Line website at juneaucrimeline.com and report a tip. Tipsters are guaranteed anonymity and could receive up to $1,000. Tipsters can also call JPD at 586-0600.
