In the early hours of Halloween, a Juneau man found an unknown man in his living room, and that person is still at large.
Asleep on his couch at home in the 9000 block of Gee Street, the resident awoke about 3:10 a.m. Oct. 31 because he felt a cold draft. He looked around and saw another man in the living room, going through his wife’s purse. The resident confronted the intruder, who ran from the home into the night.
The homeowner said it did not appear that the intruder succeeded in stealing anything, even though he had apparently gone through the residents’ cars as well.
The suspect was described as about 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans at the time of the break-in.
Anybody who might have information on this suspect is invited to log on to the Juneau Crime Line website and submit an anonymous tip. Crime Line is a nonprofit that is designed to help police agencies in their investigations.
