Public invited to testify on Supreme Court nominees

The Alaska Judicial Council is inviting members of the public to give their opinion on any or all of the candidates to replace Dana Fabe on the Alaska Supreme Court.

Fabe announced her retirement ─ effective this summer ─ last year, and the nonpartisan judicial council has been seeking her replacement since.

Eight people applied for the vacancy: Ruth Botstein, Susan M. Carney, Kevin G. Clarkson, Andrew Guidi, Jahna Lindemuth, Philip Pallenberg, Paul A. Roetman and David Avraham Voluck.

The public hearing begins at 11:45 a.m. today in Anchorage. To offer your thoughts, call 279-2526, ext. 0.
