The Juneau Arts and Humanities Council invites the public to an open house to meet the Arts Complex architects and help them understand the community’s collective vision as they enter the conceptual design phase of the building.
Architects from Northwind Architects in Juneau, Hacker Architects from Portland and The Shalleck Collaborative from San Francisco will gather to listen and learn. Discuss and comment with them at stations focusing on building spaces, performance spaces, building ideas, site and parking, inspiration, the schedule/team, and the arts complex’ narrative and branding.
This is the first of three design-related community gatherings to be hosted by the Arts Council and the architects. “We look forward to sharing our progress, hearing your wish list and brainstorming inspiration about the what, why and how of this exciting project!” said a release.
The open house is at the Mendenhall Valley Public Library on Tuesday, June 7 from 5 – 8 p.m.
