No rain fell in Juneau on Sunday, marking the first dry day in the capital city since Oct. 6.
The measurement was recorded by the National Weather Service, which has operated the official measurement point at Juneau International Airport since 1943.
The 19-day streak, which came during what is traditionally the wettest month of the year in Juneau, is far from a record. In 1999, it rained every day from Sept. 29 to Nov. 16, a record 49 consecutive days.
Thus far this month, 6.33 inches of rain have been recorded in the capital city, about an inch below normal.
