This week’s Native Issues Forum will feature guest speakers Rep. Cathy Muñoz (R-Juneau) and Rep. Bryce Edgmon (D-Dillingham). The talk starts at noon on Thursday at the Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall.
The lawmakers will give an update on the legislative session and talk about budget issues.
The forums are sponsored by the Central Council of the Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska and Sealaska Corporation. Each one is an opportunity to hear presentations on a wide range of topics relevant to the Native community, like education, language, rural development, transboundary mining, tribal courts and wellness.
