Capital City Fire/Rescue personnel pulled a person out from under the Gold Creek overpass on Tuesday afternoon after the person requested an ambulance.
CCFR Assistant Chief Ed Quinto said Tuesday that a person called 911 requesting an ambulance but that the person didn’t give a reason. The call came in a little after 3 p.m., and responders arrived shortly afterward. Multiple emergency vehicles were in the outgoing lane of Egan Drive as personnel went under the bridge and pulled the person — who appeared to be a woman — up to a waiting ambulance.
Those on scene referred questions to Quinto, who was not on scene. Quinto said the person was evaluated for injuries and was then taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
