Family and friends of Duilio Antonio “Tony” Rosales will gather at noon Saturday to remember his life during a funeral mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
Rosales’ family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to help with expenses to take his body to his home country of Nicaragua for his funeral.
Donations can be made to the Duilio “Tony” Rosales Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank, as well as the GoFundMe account, www.gofundme.com/tony-rosales.
Rosales, 34, was a downtown jeweler who was fatally shot during a hunting trip Sunday in Excursion Inlet. The suspected shooter, 53-year-old Mark Anthony De Simone, a former Arizona lawmaker, is in custody at Lemon Creek Correctional Center awaiting trial on first- and second-degree murder charges.
Rosales leaves behind his wife, Maria, and two daughters, a 5-year-old in Juneau and a second daughter in Nicaragua.
