Dog walkers, runners and Juneauites just looking for a little fresh air are invited to a 5-kilometer run at 9 a.m. June 10.
The Wild for Conservation 5k takes place at the Airport Dike Trail and benefits the Southeast Alaska Land Trust. Preregistration is $15, and race-day registration is $20.
Preregistration is available at the Trust’s website, http://southeastalaskalandtrust.org.
The first 50 people to arrive for the race will take home a commemorative pint glass.
Race-day registration opens at 8 a.m., and the race begins at 9 a.m. Dogs are welcome.
The land trust, also known as SEAL, was established in 1995 to hold and purchase undeveloped land “to protect natural, scenic, recreational and/or historical values,” according to the Trust’s website.
