SOLDOTNA — Soldotna is looking to present a friendlier face to motorists and park-goers with new signage welcoming people to the city.
The Peninsula Clarion reported that the city has designed signs as part of the Downton Improvement Plan to mark the entrance to Soldotna from the Sterling and Kenai Spur Highways, as well as smaller signs for the city’s parks.
The city has capped the sign project’s budget at $230,000. The city has put the project out to bid and will reassess in about a month.
The city spent a year designing the new signs with input from the public.
