Some North Douglas residents should prepare to experience an emergency water line shut down between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday due to the need for a “critical repair” according to the City Borough of Juneau Utilities Administration’s public service announcement.
The shutdown will occur between 9070 North Douglas Highway to the end of the water line before the North Douglas Boat Launch Ramp. Once the repairs are completed, residents may experience water discoloration or minor disruptions in service which can be best solved by running the cold water tap until the water returns to a clear state, according to the city.
The CBJ Utilities Administration apologized in its PSA for the inconvenience the repairs may cause to North Douglas residents.
