For the first time since the coronavirus was reported in Alaska more than 100 new cases have been reported in a single day.
The state reported Sunday 93 new COVID-19 cases involving Alaskans and 23 cases involving nonresidents, according to Department of Health and Social Services. It is the second day in a row the state set a single-day record for new cases.
One new hospitalization and no new deaths were also reported.
Three new cases were reported for City and Borough of Juneau, according to state data. The cases bring Juneau’s cumulative total to 57 —51 resident cases and six nonresident.
