The state reported Friday 14 new COVID-19 cases statewide.
There were no new cases reported for Juneau, according to Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, and just one new case reported in Southeast Alaska. The lone case was in Haines Borough, according to the state.
The cases bring the state’s total number of active cases to 253. There have been 722 total cases involving Alaskans, according to the state, and 457 recoveries.
Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, breathing trouble, sore throat, muscle pain, and loss of taste or smell. Most people develop only mild symptoms. But some people, usually those with other medical complications, develop more severe symptoms, including pneumonia, which can be fatal.
