Alaska Department of Health and Social Services is challenging Alaskans to do random acts of kindness with a new Pay It Forward campaign.
Throughout the month of February, with an emphasis on Feb. 12-19, organizations, businesses and individuals are encouraged to pay it forward, the department said in a news release. That can mean anything from thanking someone to shoveling a neighbor’s driveway to dropping off food at a food bank.
People are encouraged to share posts and videos of how they paid it forward on social media with the hashtag “#WithYouAlaska.” Posters can challenge friends and loved ones to pay it forward by tagging them in the posts.
More information is available on the Pay It Forward event page on Facebook.
