The state of Alaska has a SLAM-dunk deal.
On Thursday, the Department of Education and Early Development announced that it is seeking a concessionaire to run the gift shop in the Andrew P. Kashevaroff State Library, Archives, and Museum for two years.
In a request for proposals, the state said it will accept vendor applications until Feb. 17 and award the contract March 14. The contract would run through October 2019 and could be renewed for another two-year term.
The winning vendor must pay $500 per month in rent, plus a minimum of 5 percent of gross sales.
All applicants must have “experience operating a gift shop, gallery, or a similar business in Alaska.”
