ANCHORAGE — Anchorage police say a teenager suspected of robbing a credit union will be waived to adult status.
Police say the 17-year-old will be charged with robbery, theft, vehicle theft and reckless driving. Online court documents had not been filed early Friday.
A 15-year-old suspected accomplice is in the custody of juvenile authorities.
Police say the younger boy Thursday entered Denali Federal Credit Union on Minnesota Drive, held a gun to a teller’s head and demanded cash.
Police say he departed with money and got into a stolen car driven by the older teen.
A patrol car crashed into the suspect’s vehicle and pinned it on O’Malley Drive. The suspects fled but were captured.
An officer involved in the crash was treated for an injury at a hospital.
