The Canvas hosts ‘animal identity’ workshop for kids

Juneau youth ages 8 and up are invited to explore their wild side with a weeklong “Creating your own animal identity” workshop at The Canvas Gallery & Studio starting Monday.

Artist Lindsay Carron, who splits her time between Alaska and Los Angeles, will guide kids to discover the animal identities inside of them. Students will go on hikes with Carron and learn how to draw their favorite animals through her guidance.

Cost for the workshop, which takes place from 9 a.m.-noon Monday-Friday, costs $125. Students should dress comfortably and bring their own snacks. All other materials are provided.
