The Juneau Chamber of Commerce luncheon this week will feature guest speaker Josh Craft, program manager for the Emerging Energy Technology Fund. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Moose Lodge, with the program beginning at noon.
Costs for the catered lunch are $20 for Moose Lodge members and $25 for nonmembers. The Juneau Moose Lodge is located at 8335 Airport Blvd.
In his work as EETF program manager, Craft oversees a grant program designed to promote the expansion of energy sources available to Alaskans and to reduce the state’s high energy costs.
The fund, created by the Alaska State Legislature in 2010, commits grant money to projects intended to demonstrate the power of emerging energy technologies. The EETF is sustained by federal and state money as part of the Alaska Energy Authority, an independent corporation of the State of Alaska.
