Treadwell Arena adds new weekly events

Hockey and open skate are on the schedule.

Treadwell Arena is adding additional events to its weekly schedule, City and Borough of Juneau announced.

In addition to a weekly free skate 3-4 p.m. on Fridays, there will be an open skate 10:45-11:45 a.m. on Wednesdays and hockey 1:15-2:15 p.m. on Fridays, the city said in a news release. Reservations are required and open at noon on Mondays, according to the city. Admission for the open skate and hockey events costs $5.

There is a maximum capacity of 20 people on the ice, according to the city, and the arena’s maximum capacity is 50. Masks and social distancing are required.

Registration can be done through City and Borough of Juneau Parks and Recreation’s website at https://secure.rec1.com/AK/juneau-ak/catalog.
