SOLDOTNA — Alaska State Troopers have arrested a Kasilof man suspected of firing a gun at a driver near Soldotna.
Troopers at about 6:30 a.m. Monday took multiple 911 calls from 39-year-old Nathan Shearer of Eagle River reporting his car had been shot at Mile 56 Seward Highway.
Shearer told troopers he passed a vehicle, saw a flash and heard a bang. A bullet pierced his right front passenger window, passed in front of Shearer and continued through the driver-side window.
Shearer didn’t stop and kept driving to Soldotna.
Soldotna police found the suspect vehicle in Soldotna.
Troopers arrested 22-year-old Doug Pardue on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder, felony assault, felony weapons misconduct and other offenses.
He remained jailed Tuesday at Wildwood Pretrial Facility in Kenai.
