ANCHORAGE — Alaska State Troopers are awaiting a report from the state medical examiner before releasing names of two victims in a fatal Parks Highway traffic crash.
Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters says positive identifications have not been made.
Three people died in the two-car highway crash north of Wasilla near Mile 50.
Troopers say a northbound sedan driven by 25-year-old Sara Johnston of Palmer crossed into the southbound lane of the Parks Highway and struck a minivan driven by 33-year-old Jacob Still of Willow.
The van burst into flames.
Johnson died in the crash. Troopers say she was not wearing a seat belt.
Two passengers in the minivan driven by Still also died in the crash.
Troopers took a call on the crash just after 9 p.m.
