PALMER — Authorities say a Palmer man was shot after two people entered his home through a window early Thursday morning.
The Alaska State Troopers say the homeowner did not know the people and confronted them with a gun. The troopers, in an online dispatch, said the homeowner was shot in the arm by one of the intruders.
Troopers’ spokeswoman Megan Peters says the homeowner’s injuries aren’t believed to be life threatening. She says the homeowner fired his gun but it was not clear whether either of the intruders was hurt.
She says it didn’t appear that anything had been stolen from the home.
Troopers say the suspects fled on foot.
Another person was at the home at the time of the incident but not injured.
