SUTTON — Alaska State Troopers are investigating a crash on the Glenn Highway that left one man dead and another seriously injured.
Troopers said 24-year-old Dustin Lakey was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at milepost 63 in Sutton. Troopers say 45-year-old Gene Boyda was seriously injured and was transported to a local hospital.
Troopers said Lakey was heading north in a pickup truck and Boyda was southbound in a pickup when the two trucks collided head-on in the centerline.
Troopers said Lakey was not wearing a seatbelt. His body was sent to the state medical examiner’s office.
No home towns were given for either man.
