FAIRBANKS — The search for a Fairbanks man who went missing during a hunting trip off the Dalton Highway has been suspended after air and ground efforts turned up no sign of him.
Twenty-three-year-old Dalton Hanson was reported missing Sept. 10 after he walked away from a hunting camp north of Livengood. Alaska State Troopers on Monday said the search for Hanson was suspended Sept. 18 pending new leads and information into his disappearance.
Several agencies, law enforcement officers and search-and-rescue dogs participated in the search. Volunteers from Fairbanks and North Pole also joined the efforts. Helicopters and airplanes didn’t find any sign of Hanson.
Troopers say Hanson was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, black pants and boots.
