FAIRBANKS — Alaska State Troopers used a police dog to arrest two men suspected of burglarizing a Fairbanks home.
Troopers just before 11 p.m. Sunday took a 911 call from a witness reporting suspects using flashlights inside a neighbor’s home that was supposed to be vacant.
The suspects also appeared to have tampered with a vehicle outside the home.
When officers arrived, the suspects remained inside the home.
Troopers sent in “K9 Skippy” to detain the suspects and arrested 40-year-old Andrew Towse and 49-year-old Michael Meath.
Towse and Meath were arraigned Monday on felony burglary and misdemeanor vehicle theft charges.
Online court records did not list attorneys for the men and they remained jailed Tuesday at Fairbanks Correctional Center.
