The Juneau School District’s budget process begins this week with two informational meetings for members of the public.
Two meetings will take place 6-8 p.m. tonight and Wednesday at the Juneau-Douglas High School Library. These will kick off a months-long budget process.
Tonight’s meeting will go over the budgeting process in general and look at revenue streams and expenditures. The Wednesday meeting will be dense, with an overview of administrative services and departments, talent enrichment and development, English learners, curriculum, health services and special education. It will conclude with school principals being available for questions.
Anyone is welcome at the meetings.
