Two well-known and accomplished local chamber musicians — violinist Lisa Ibias and pianist Sue Kazama — will perform the opening concert of the 2017-18 Con Brio Chamber Series.
Ibias and Kazama will be performing Saturday, Aug. 12 at 2 p.m. in the atrium of the Andrew P. Kashevaroff (APK) State Library, Archives, and Museum at 395 Whittier St. downtown.
The recital will feature the music of Beethoven, Grieg and Dvorak.
Admission is free with donations to help support future music programs at the APK. The concert is supported in part by the Friends of the Alaska State Library, Archives, and Museum.
The Con Brio Chamber Series provides musicians an opportunity to create, perform and share their love of chamber music to enrich Juneau’s audiences. The next event in the 2017-18 series will be A Call to Life – Variations on a Theme of Extinction Sunday, Sept. 3 at 4 p.m. at Northern Light Church.
