FAIRBANKS — A Fairbanks woman involved in a crash on a stolen dirt bike has died.
Fairbanks police say Lakeisha Nollner-Albert died Thursday from injuries suffered in the crash with a car. She was unresponsive after suffering a serious a head injury and had been flown to an Anchorage hospital.
Nollner-Albert was a passenger on a dirt bike driven by 20-year-old Clayton Nelson. Police just before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday responded to a crash at 21st Avenue and Cowles Street.
About three hours later, a resident of 25th Avenue reported his dirt bike had been stolen.
Nelson has a revoked driver’s license.
Police say neither he nor Nollner-Albert wore helmets.
The driver of the car was not injured. Nelson suffered a broken femur and pelvis. He also was flown to an Anchorage hospital.
