ANCHORAGE — Someone wanted a baker’s dozen from a 24-hour doughnut shop in Anchorage, and used a gun for the extra treat.
Anchorage television station KTUU reported a woman walked into Golden Donuts shortly before 1 a.m. Friday and ordered a dozen doughnuts.
As the employee handed over the doughnuts, he said the woman then pulled out a gun and demanded cash from the register.
He gave her the money and called police after she left.
Police said they arrested as 35-year-old Melissa Noel of Anchorage after she ran a nearby stoplight following the incident. Police say they found a box of doughnuts in her vehicle. Online court records don’t list an attorney for Noel, who was scheduled for arraignment later Friday on robbery, theft and assault charges.
