Elders are a big target of fraud operations in America, which are growing more sophisticated as technology advances.
To help prevent fraud and prepare Juneau’s aging population and those who care for elders, Southeast Senior Services, in partnership with Tlingit and Haida Regional Housing Authority, will hold an Elder Financial Abuse Prevention workshop on Wednesday at 2-3 p.m. at the Valley Public Library.
Dawn Wesley, program coordinator with Financial Cent$, will speak about preparing yourself and your family to manage money responsibly into old age.
