Daniel Richard Ulery Sr.
Longtime Juneau resident Daniel Richard Ulery Sr. died Nov. 3, 2017, of natural causes with his family by his side. He was 78.
Ulery was born Sept. 17, 1939, to Daniel and Dorothy Ulery in Oakland, California, but spent most of his life in Juneau where he owned and operated a successful construction company, Four Eagles Construction, with his son Daniel Jr. Together they constructed and repaired many businesses and homes in Juneau and Southeast Alaska.
Ulery was preceded in death by his wife Betsy Watson Ulery, and granddaughter Crystal Marie Marks.
He is survived by his sons Daniel Jr. (Kathy) and Kenneth; grandchildren Marcus Allen and Ashlee Danielle; and two great-grandchildren William Marks and Hailey Rae Lynch.
A celebration of life will be held at the Juneau Elks Lodge #420 on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, starting at 4 p.m. All friends and family are welcome.
Ulery had been an active and longtime member in the Juneau Elks Lodge, the Juneau Moose Lodge Family Center and The Juneau-Douglas Fraternal Order of Eagles #4200.
