Doris Ann Bartlett
Doris Ann (D.A.) Bartlett passed away Sept. 5, 2015. She was 81 years old.
D.A. lived in Juneau during her early years, attending Juneau public schools and then, from 1959-1967, she worked as a librarian and researcher at Alaska’s Constitutional Convention. Along with other participants, she was honored during the 50th anniversary Founding Alaska celebrations. A scholar of languages and literature, she taught at the University of Alaska Fairbanks for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E.L. Bob and Vide Bartlett; and her infant daughter, Anne Christine Riley.
She is survived by her children John, Kathy, Alan and Mike Riley and Deirdre Downey; and her step-daughters, Margen Riley and Robin Riley Fast.
The family is planning a memorial service for D.A. in the summer of 2016 in Fairbanks.
