Margaret “Janine” Cook of Juneau died of cancer on Dec. 13, 2018. She was 63 years old.
Cook was born March 11, 1955 in Provo, Utah. She married Earl in August 1985. She joined her husband in Labachore Bay Logging Camp and became an Alaska resident in October 1988. They lived in several camps after. She was a resident of Hoonah for 10 years and a resident of Juneau for seven years. She enjoyed reading, crafts, baking, picking berries and making jam.
Cook had a big heart and is loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Earl Cook, son Shawn Holcomb, daughter Amanda Whitney, son Josh Holcomb and eight grandchildren.
