Kenneth M. Dean
Kenneth M. Dean passed away on Oct. 16, 2016. He was 68 years old.
Dean graduated Harrington High School in 1965 and earned his associate of arts and science in paralegal studies in 1990 from the University of Alaska Southeast. He was also a IBEW Lineman.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Teresa Kathleen Dean; parents, Lynn and LaRaine Dean; his father and mother in-law, Willis and Violet Hamilton; sister-in-law, Carla M. Timpone; brother-in-laws, Gideon Duncan Jr., Leonard Hamilton, Owen Hamilton, Willis H. Hamilton Jr. and Gary Hamilton; sisters-in-laws, Joy Hamilton Cutshall, Margaret Hamilton (who died at birth) and Lavina Hamilton.
Dean is survived by his son Aaron Lynn Dean and wife Audrey Dean of Juneau; son Stephen Learned and wife Evelynn of Colorado; grandchildren, Jacqueline Olson (Joshua), Victoria Dean, Stephen Learned Jr. and Samuel Learned; great-grandchildren, Ethan Olson, Lilly Olson, Kaylee Olson, Isabelle Olson and Willow Dean; his sisters, Linda Lappin of Dallas, Oregon; Shirley Dean of Douglas; sister-in-law, Bert G. Hamilton (Raymond Guthrie Sr.) of Ketchikan; brother-in-law, Dana Craig Hamilton of Ketchikan; and many nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends and co-workers throughout Southeast Alaska.
A celebration of Ken’s life will take place in November, with the date and time to be announced.
