Lory Bica Leary
Lory Bica Leary died Nov. 7, 2017. She was 81 years old.
Born June 20, 1936, in New Haven, Connecticut, Leary was a business owner, regional elections supervisor, and executive secretary for several companies, including Sikorsky Helicopters. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Seward, Sodality of Our Blessed Lady, The National Audubon Society, Defenders of Wildlife, and of the Pioneers of Alaska Seward Women’s Igloo #9, and volunteered with the Seward Silver Salmon Derby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Leary, and parents, James and Eileen Bica.
She is survived by her stepdaughters, Kathleen Leary of Gustavus, Alaska and Julie (David Budbill) Leary; stepson, Ian R. (Pam) Leary of Juneau, Alaska; grandchildren, Courtney Evans of Long Beach, California, Kelsey Evans and Tyler Musser of Craig, Alaska, Mackenzie (Alex) Devans and their son, Xander Devans of Olympia, Washington, Madison Evans (Matt Svoboda) and their daughter, Esme Svoboda of Mckinleyville, California, Andria Budbill and Christopher Budbill of Juneau, Riley Leary of Anchorage, Alaska; cousin, Bob (Alice) Bica of Wallingford, Connecticut.
