Maria Nieves Marin Ortega
Maria Nieves Marin Ortega passed away on Oct. 21, 2016, in Juneau.
She was born in Michoacan, Mexico. She enjoyed a simple life growing up there, and around the year 2000, moved to the United States for more opportunity. In Juneau, she gave birth to two boys, Jordy Gomez and Henry Gomez, who she is survived by along with her sister Hermina Marin and husband back in Mexico. Nieves suffered for years with many medical problems through which the whole time she fought endlessly.
