Mary J. Moore
Mary Moore died peacefully at her daughter’s home in Bellingham, Washington, on June 20, 2016. She was 88 years old.
Moore was born April 21, 1928, in Leolyn, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Mansfield State Teachers College at Mansfield, Pennsylvania, in 1950. She taught at Wrangell High School and had a long career as a reservations agent for major air carriers in Juneau. She was a member of the St. Paul Singers and performed in many Juneau Lyric Opera productions. Since retirement, she volunteered at the Friends of the Library Amazing Bookstore until 2015 and the Mustard Seed shop at Holy Trinity until 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Moore in 2003; her son, James Eric in 2013. She is survived by her son, Douglas Van (Tracey); daughter, Naomi Irene (Tom) and three grandchildren.
A full obituary will be published at a later date. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in late summer.
