Edward Gamble
Edward Gamble Sr. of Angoon passed on Feb. 20, 2016, at the age of 80.
He was born to Johnnie Gamble and Nadja Davis Gamble (Peck) and was of the L’eeneidi Clan. He married Dorothy J. Nelson on May 4, 1960. They had five children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He served as mayor of Angoon from 1984-87, and in most Angoon leadership positions.
“He had a smile for everyone all the time,” the family said.
Juneau services will be held Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Glacier Valley Church of God, beginning at 7 p.m.
In Angoon, the memorial service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016 at the Angoon Elementary Gym. Services will start at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Angoon Elementary School Gym on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016 (TBA).
