Abby Meiners was 3-for-3 at the plate as the Juneau-Douglas High School softball team outlasted Thunder Mountain High School with a 14-10 conference win Friday night at Melvin Park.
It was the senior night game for JDHS’ six senior members.
Ally Ireland-Haight, Elisa Fabrello and Maddie Johnson drove in approximately two-thirds of JDHS’ runs and the Crimson Bears scored in all but one inning of the game. It was the third conference game between the teams this season but the first time JDHS has come away victorious.
The Falcons led 7-6 after two innings, but were outscored 8-3 over the next four as JDHS recorded just one error all game.
Haleigh DiCarlo hit a triple and finished with 2 RBIs for TMHS.
