The Treadwell Mine Cyclocross Bike Race is Saturday, Oct. 14 on the Treadwell Mine Historic Trails.
The race will start on the upper part of Sandy Beach at 3 p.m. Race registration opens at 2:15 p.m. at the Sandy Beach shelters.
The race fee for Juneau Freewheelers’ members is $5. All entrants must be a member of the freewheelers for insurance purposes. A yearly membership is $5 for individuals and $10 for families.
There will be 10 loops on the trails for the racers to complete. Volunteers will be stationed at key intersections of the trail to monitor the riders and assist them. The trail will remain open to the public and hikers will be notified before of the race before it begins. Please be cautious with bikers on the trail.
