Former Thunder Mountain High School pitcher Philip Wall wrapped up another successful season on the mound for the University of Northwestern-St. Paul.

Wall, whose Eagles suffered a season-ending loss last Friday to University of Wisconsin-Superior in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament, was named to both the UMAC All-Conference and National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) North Central All-Region teams at the beginning of the week.

This season, Wall was the strongest pitcher for UNW, posting team-best marks in ERA (2.80), innings pitched (64.1) while tying for first on the team for wins (five) and complete games (two).
The sophomore allowed just one earned run over 7.1 innings and struck out three batters in UNW’s only UMAC Tournament win, a 6-2 victory over St. Scholastica last Friday. Wall also led the team with a .333 batting average this season.
