Free beginner hockey clinic on Saturday

The Juneau Douglas Ice Association will host Discover Hockey, a chance for newcomers of all ages to try hockey for free 4 p.m. Saturday at Treadwell Arena. No experience necessary. Gear will be provided.

Coaches and advanced youth players will be available to help kids with their gear and be on the ice ready to have fun with the kids.

The event lasts two hours. Treadwell Ice Arena is donating one hour of ice time. JDIA is sponsoring the second hour with help from the City and Borough of Juneau’s Youth Activities Grant.
