Twenty Juneau students competed in the November Rain swim meet hosted in Petersburg over the weekend.
Glacier Swim Club members swam well in the 108-event meet, according to results shared with the Empire, with several first-place finishers and many more placing in the top three in their respective races.
First-place finishers included:
— Lily Francis in the girls 11 and over 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2 minutes, 27 seconds and 86 milliseconds, the girls 11 and over 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:58.03, the girls 200-yard butterfly, 2:27.24; the girls 8 and under 25-yard freestyle, 20.57; the girls 100-yard freestyle, 58.91; the girls 400-yard IM, 5:18.30; the girls 200-yard freestyle 2:12.24; the girls 100-yard butterfly, 1:03.56;
— Matisse Suarez in the girls 8 and under 200-yard butterfly, 1:32.37, the girls 8 and under 50-yard butterfly, 51.99; the girls 8 and under 50-yard freestyle, 40.92; the girls 8 and under 25-yard butterfly, 24.73;
— Kennedy Miller in the girls 100-yard breaststroke, 1:19.68;
— Ellie Cullum in the girls 11-12 100-yard butterfly, 1:37.56;
— Liam Kiessling in the boys 11-12 100-yard butterfly, 1:21.24; the boys 11-12 200-yard breaststroke, 3:12.09; the boys 11-12 100-yard breaststroke, 1:14.87; the boys 11-12 100-yard IM, 1:15.66; the boys 11-12 200-yard freestyle, 2:28.58; the boys 11-12 100-yard breaststroke, 1:28.63; the boys 11-12 50-yard butterfly, 34.85;
