The Thunder Mountain High School boys swim team finished in first place at Friday’s Sitka Invitational at Blatchley Pool in Sitka.
The Falcons’ 333 total points easily surpassed second-place Sitka, who compiled 283 points. The Juneau-Douglas boys finished a hair behind the Wolves with 279 points.
TMHS junior Spencer Holt took first in both the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard freestyle. Holt finished the former in 52.17 seconds and the latter in 49.35 seconds. Holt was also a member of the Falcons 200-yard medley relay that finished in first.
The Sitka Lady Wolves scored an impressive 495 points to take the girls title. Thunder Mountain came in second with 372 points and JDHS third with 318 points.
The Southeast teams were back in the water on Saturday for a second meet.
The Region V Swimming and Diving Championships is Oct. 27-28 at the Dimond Park Aquatic Center in Juneau.
