The Juneau-Douglas High School football cheerleaders won two divisions at the Alaska Spirit Coaches Association Cheer and Dance State Competition last weekend in Anchorage.
According to coaches Carlene and Colby Nore, the Crimson Bears entered into two events at the competitions.
Team members Lexi Shaa, Jonah Gonzales, Heather Druley, Savannah Meketa and Jade Lott placed first in the five-person stunt group against Colony, Palmer and Soldotna.
Team members Isabel Fuchs, Heather Druley, Jade Lott, Jorace Gonzales, Jonah Gonzales, Lexi Schaa, Lily Hagerup, Marial Carrillo, Megan Komar, Kate Stears, Sydney Holst, Savannah Meketa, Tamara Campbell and Tina Tsyshevska placed first in the Sideline All Girl Large Varsity division against Colony.
JDHS finished second in total points to Dimond High School for the Grand Master Championship.
