Juneau-Douglas High School girls soccer hosts Ketchikan High School at 6:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Adair-Kennedy Field. JDHS varsity is 1-0 on the season.
The Raining Colors 5k fun run takes place at Riverbend Elementary School at 12 p.m. Sunday. Pre-registration is $30 for adults and $20 kids. Day of race costs are $40 for adults and $30 for kids. The event begins and ends at the covered area behind the Riverbend School. Proceeds benefit the Juneau Youth Triathlon Club.
Thunder Mountain High School and JDHS track and field teams travel to Ketchikan this weekend for a meet on Friday and Saturday. This will be both teams’ second meet of the season.
TMHS softball travels to Ketchikan while JDHS softball heads to Sitka this weekend. Both teams will play Friday and Saturday. This weekend’s games are regular-season openers for both teams.
JDHS baseball participates in a tournament in Sitka this weekend. They play South High School at 5 p.m. Thursday, Ketchikan High School at 11 a.m. Friday and Sitka High School at 8 p.m. Friday. The third and fourth place teams after Thursday and Friday’s games will play at 11 a.m., while the first and second place teams will play at 2 p.m. Saturday. JDHS is 3-0 on the season after winning three games against Petersburg this week.
