Every Tuesday through October, Basketball Officials Meeting (Oct. 20, 27 and Nov. 3) from 6-8 p.m., room C-105 at Thunder Mountain High School. Discussion of rules & mechanics as preparation for the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) certification exam. All interested in officiating are encouraged to attend. For more information, call Joel Osburn 209-7897. Time to put the Marvelous Mystery Oil on whistles and dust off the zebra stripes. High school basketball officials are in demand this season.

Home, 2:30 p.m., 4th Annual Zombie Run 5K or 1-mile at Sandy Beach. Empire Cup Series race. Preregister by Oct. 23 $15 adults, $10 kids. Race day registration $25 adult, $15 kids. Register at Pavitts Health and Fitness, Nugget Alaskan Outfitters, Fogggy Mountain Shop or Harborview Elementary School. Race is fundraiser for the Harborview Elementary Triathlon Club.
