ANCHORAGE — A 42-year-old man who got into a dispute with security screeners at an Anchorage courthouse has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and disorderly conduct.
Alaska State Troopers say Pete Crooke on Wednesday afternoon tried to bring drug paraphernalia into Nesbett Courthouse and challenged security screeners to a fight.
Troopers say he was carrying a box cutter and fled on foot but was disarmed and arrested.
Besides drug paraphernalia, investigators say he carried packaging material associated with the distribution of drug. Troopers say he also carried packets of Spice, a synthetic marijuana.
Crooke was jailed at the Anchorage jail.
Online court records did not indicate he is represented by an attorney who could comment on the arrest.
