Shawn Miller held off Tim Mikulski for the fastest male time in Saturday’s Cameron Clark Memorial Run, and Danielle Dunivin had the fastest female time. All three are from Juneau.

Miller ran the 5K race in 18 minutes and two seconds, with Mikulski finishing in 18:43. Dunivin ran a 24:05 for 17th overall. The race started and finished at the Lena Beach Picnic Area.

Juneau’s Rowan Taintor had the fastest male one mile time with 6:15 and just edged out Brook Taintor, who ran the fastest female one-mile time with a 6:34.

The annual race is in honor of namesake Cameron Hal Clark who died in an accident July 1, 2009, while climbing Mount McGinnis with friends. He was 16.

According to those who knew him Cameron loved the outdoors and had participated in, and won, many trail and road races with Juneau’s Southeast Road Runners, including the Ben Blackgoat Memorial Perseverance Trail Run.
