Nifty 50 on Saturday
The Juneau Trail &Road Runners’ Nifty Fifty 50K, 25K and 10K races are this Saturday, Aug. 12. The 50K starts at 8:30 a.m.; the 25K at 9 a.m.; the 10K at 9:15 a.m. All three races start and finish at the end of Basin Road near the Perseverance Trailhead.
Perseverance Trail, Mount Roberts Trail, the Flume Trail and Basin Road will be in use from 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. The 50K race will take runners through the Highlands area subdivision, connecting with Glacier Avenue to the Salmon Creek Trail. All four trails and the roads will remain open to the public during the races.
